Your tasks: As a committed computer scientist, your focus will be the efficient and effective operation of our modern IT infrastructure. Together with your new team colleagues, you will be responsible to further develop the production, test and development environments as well as to solve problems in close cooperation with the development and network teams. You will bring skills, that will help us to automate internal IT processes and operate our heterogeneous infrastructure in a highly qualified manner. Together with a highly motivated team, you will take care of a wide range of products (including OracleDB, MongoDB, MS SQL, VMWare, NetApp, Cisco UCS & HyperFlex, Linux and Windows operating systems). You will also support the team with its 3rd level on-call service. Your profile: - Higher degree in computer science and practical experience as a system engineer. - You already have experience in automation and orchestration (DevOps) or you would like to further develop your career in this direction. - You have broad knowledge in Linux (CentOS), as well as Windows and you are open to try new products. - Experience with one or more of the following technologies: Scripting (Unix Shell / PowerShell), Oracle DB, MongoDB, MS SQL, Nagios, DevOps Tools (Ansible/AWX). - You like to work on database concepts and implementations (SQL and NoSQL). - You have good knowledge of storage systems (NetApp, HyperFlex) and virtualization (VMWare) or you are ready to assimilate it. - A team-oriented, open personality with a structured and solution-oriented style of work, who approaches tasks proactively and with drive. - You are used to work independently and have a distinct quality awareness. - Versatile (all-rounders) and willing to familiarize yourself with new topics and to deal with new applications/systems - You live in the Bern area and have a driving license Cat. B - You are ready to communicate and interact daily with your colleagues in German and English
