Your tasks: As a Linux System Engineer, you will work on our Linux based Service Delivery Platform which is the foundation of our global network and security operations. This includes evaluation, integration and lifecycle management of hardware and cloud based solutions. In this position, you will be responsible for projects from their concept phase all the way through to deployment and operations. In close collaboration with other teams and product owners, you ensure that all our Security Services are running smoothly on our highly optimized and secured Linux system. Your profile: ETH, university, or FH degree in Computer Science or similar educational level Experience with maintaining Linux or a UNIX based operating system Knowledge of at least one of these languages: Perl, Go, Python, C Bonus: Networking and the major Internet protocols (TCP/IP, IPsec, SSL, SSH, SMTP, HTTP, DNS) Configuration management and monitoring systems in general Automated testing frameworks High availability frameworks and concepts Kernel debugging and tuning System hardening (AppArmor, SELinux)
