Your tasks: Perform day to day maintenance on servers, e.g. Debian/Linux installation Physical racking and hardware troubleshooting and replacement in Zürich and Frankfurt Scale and maintain our Juniper network infrastructure: prepare and deploy configuration changes, software upgrades, hardware installation and replacements in Zürich and Frankfurt Be an advocate for security and stability, raise awareness of weak spots and develop plans to mitigate them Some nightly maintenances will be required (< 5% total work time) Your profile: 2+ years proven experience as systems administrator, data center engineer, network engineer or operations position, ideally operating a high traffic service or hosting provider Experience with Linux/Debian Experience with data center hardware installation and operations ( cooling, power and optical fiber cross-connects) Fundamental understanding of the Internet and modern web services (e.g. http(s), TCP/IP, Streaming) Comfortable working with remote colleagues, multidisciplinary teams and external partners Fluent verbal and written English language skills Bonus: Hands-on experience configuring routers/switches ( ideally Juniper )
