Your tasks: - Work with end users to define their needs and deliver analysis using both existing datasets as well as data in the data warehouse that has not yet been modeled. - Learn about key aspects of the company's business model, and proactively identify insights in the data relevant to growing the business. Discover patterns in data sets to impact product, sales, marketing and engineering insights and strategy. - Take ownership of the development process for dashboards and reports in visualization and analysis platform (Amazon Quicksight). Create meaningful data visualizations to represent trends and findings in data. - Create and maintain documentation of datasets, key metrics and dashboards. - Collaborate with data engineers to define and implement data validation checks within the data pipelines. - Collaborate with data engineers, or make use of data pipeline tooling, to bring new data sources into the data warehouse. Your profile: - Experience in working with stakeholders from multiple lines of business to answer questions and uncover insights using data. - A near-expert level knowledge of SQL. Familiarity with MongoDB is a plus. - An understanding of data modeling in a modern data warehouse. Familiarity with dbt is a plus. - Experience building dashboards and analysis in a common visualization tool such as Tableau, Looker, PowerBI or Amazon Quicksight. - Exposure to a modern, cloud-based data warehouse such as Redshift. Basic knowledge of Git version control and Microsoft Excel. - The ability to operate effectively on a remote/distributed team. - Strong written and verbal communication in English & German.
