Your tasks: Our database is a world-leading life science data resource in the field of protein networks, integrating known and predicted protein-protein links for a quickly growing user community. The Zurich team is currently looking for a Bioinformatician to use their excellent Data Science and Software Development skills to help grow and further professionalize the database. The person will lead the development of new methods and software tools in the field of proteomics and systems biology, including identification and integration of new data sources, and will keep abreast of the latest scientific developments in the field. Your profile: The successful candidate should have experience with statistical modelling of large-scale biological data, as well as with the development of scientific software. In addition, they should have a solid understanding of database management systems, including data modelling and data storage techniques for performance optimisation. Experience in developing web applications and web analytics is an asset.
