Your tasks: Define and implement an IT Governance and Strategy suitable for our scope and size of company Define and implement with your teams effective and lean IT operations procedures Own the IT Roadmap and project portfolio and actively work on successfully implementing with your teams the projects Work closely with in-house stakeholders to understand their requirements, develop solutions and ensure an excellent business alignment Ensure business continuity and capacity/availability planning Own the IT budget and sourcing/vendor management Accountability of the IT architecture landscape Provide the company with the right infrastructure at the right cost to fulfil its requirements Provide the company with the right software (in-house developed and sourced) and ensure its effective integration into the overall system landscape. Your profile: Highly proactive, independent and able to work under pressure personality with strong leadership competencies and a master degree in computer science, information management or related discipline Previous proven experience in a very similar position and company of similar size Strong practical experience around IT governance and IT operation Strong analytical and problem solving skills, combined with excellent communication skills and a strong delivery focused mind set (motivated to meet targets and get things done) Good general technical and business management knowledge and experience Previous experience/background in software development Practical experience in agile software development and strong believer that autonomous self-organized teams deliver better output Understanding of a broad range of platforms, technologies and tools, specifically: virtualization, Java, HTML/CSS, Linux, Back-up system, Confluence, Spring, Vaadin (or similar frameworks), PostgreSQL/MySQL or other RDMS, XML, Jenkins/Ant, Eclipse, Subversion, IT operation automation Strong customer orientation, ability to make pragmatic compromises to make progress Comfortable in communicating with a range of technical and non-technical stakeholders to derive requirements and expectations Fluency in English and German language skills Team player who is able to collaborate, who can communicate ideas and solutions clearly and with strong interpersonal skills.
