Your tasks: You will have the opportunity to work on intellectually challenging projects, in a friendly and stimulating environment. You will work both independently and in teams and will be asked to interact with users and data providers to the ecoinvent database. As a technical support, you will be involved in various projects aimed at improving and developing the database, related to its core structure or the expansion of its coverage, among other things. You will further interact with external stakeholders, such as data providers, to guide them through the data preparation and submission process. Additionally, you will support the communication efforts of ecoinvent, reinforcing the support to users of the ecoinvent database. Due to the variability of the tasks, you will get well acquainted with the structure of the database and the challenges of life cycle inventory modelling in general. Your profile: This is an entry level position, for applicants with a Master’s Degree in environmental sciences, a natural science or a related field, and a maximum working experience of one year. Experience in Life Cycle Assessment, either practical or theoretical, as well as fluency in English (written and oral) are required, additional language skills can be useful. Ideally, you are familiar and have practical experience with the methodology and the data structure of the ecoinvent database. We are looking for one or more candidates to both work as a general analyst and to work on projects specific to the following expertise/backgrounds, some justified experience in those would be a plus: Agriculture Building and construction materials Metal sector Programming, especially in Python
