Your tasks: You will develop embedded (real-time) software for electronic modules to be used in high-quality consumer goods. Dependent on internal needs, you will also assume the technical lead for development projects within the same domain. Working in an interdisciplinary team, you will work closely with your colleagues to derive technically relevant requirements and develop solutions that fulfill these requirements as part of the final consumer product. Your focus will be to develop embedded software using an integrated development environment (languages: C, C++, etc.) working closely with electronic hardware developers to ensure optimal software interfacing. Your work with additional stakeholders will ensure tight integration of your SW into the product as a whole. You will be required to verify your work using series of trials and tests covering the complete development cycle from prototyping to series (mass)production. Your profile: You are a graduate engineer having majored in embedded software engineering (MSc or BSc preferably with CAS). You understand the technical and functional issues associated with developing products for massproduction and are able to implement product quality software accordingly. You can demonstrate experience of SW development for massproduction: ideally having worked with Agile development methodologies including Test Driven Development and have also expertise with Industry 4.0/IoT. You have the talent and ability to efficiently develop and verify reliable software and a general understanding of electronic hardware, allowing you to contribute significantly to electronic system design. Candidates with proven systems engineering skills will be preferred. Self-confidence, good communication skills and enjoying being part of a dynamic project team with close customer contact are characteristics that are central to this position. While candidates are expected to be able to communicate in German, English skills are a pre-requisite and French would be advantageous.
