Your tasks: We are looking for a genomic data scientist to work closely with our experimental team to analyze and explore a large collection of high-throughput sequencing data. Experience in RNA-seq data analysis, including bulk transcriptomics, splicing analysis and single cell analysis is required. The ideal candidate will also have expertise in analyzing high-throughput sequencing datasets to determine the function of RNA-binding proteins, including CLIP-sequencing and related methodologies. The candidate will combine work in neurodegeneration and RNA biology with statistical methods and data science tools. The candidate is expected to contribute to experimental design, reproducible data analysis via code repositories and to manage tools and data for a variety of both newly-generated and published datasets; if time permits, the candidate will contribute to projects to benchmark computational tools for data analysis and/or develop new tools or workflows for high throughput datasets. Your profile: PhD in Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Computer Science OR MSc in Bioinformatics (or related discipline) and at least 3 years of data analysis experience is required. We are looking for someone with excellent organizational skills, friendly and open personality and the ability to work independently and multitask. High competence in the analysis and management of genomic datasets. Advanced knowledge of R and/or Python programming environments.
