Your tasks: This role is part of the Global Marketing Customer Science team and requires a combination of both data science and advanced analytics skills. This is an outstanding opportunity to deeply focus on understanding user behaviours. Use insights to drive the strategic direction of eBay’s business and the development of new customer programs. Support the data science teams in the exploration of new features for their machine learning algorithms. Help the customer science team in understanding how users interact with the outputs generated from the models they developed, e.g., item recommendations. Your profile: Masters degree or above in a quantitative field, e.g., statistics, mathematics, physics, computer science, economics, engineering. Excellent logical, analytical and conceptual skills. Good understanding of experimental design and statistics. Strong data-driven decision making. Very good verbal, written communication, and technical presentation skills. Ambitious, self-starter attitude; able to adapt to emerging challenges and execute under ambiguity. Knowledge of SQL is required. Solid understanding in R or Python.
