Your tasks: Contribute to the design and development of our serverless cloud backend applications, with interfaces to the drone system, user-facing dashboard, and client-specific APIs. Identify new relevant technologies and services and propose architectural patterns that ensure performance, scalability, and reliability of our solutions. Collaborate closely with our team of software engineers and UX designers, to design high-quality solutions that deliver high value to our clients and are a pleasure to use. Ensure the highest standards of software quality through unit and integration tests, and by defining (new) local and remote testing processes and infrastructure. Spread knowledge about cloud solutions within the department and enable other developers as we continue our shift towards the cloud. Assist with the analysis of general and client-specific requirements. Participate on daily activities of the team, such as code and design reviews, project planning, periodic meetings, etc. Mentor and train other team members on design techniques and coding standards. Your profile: Degree (MSc, BSc) in computer science, software engineering, or relevant field. At least 4+ years of professional hands-on experience in software engineering, with focus on developing and designing cloud-based applications and services Proven experience in the development and design of scalable, performant, robust and fault-tolerant micro-service and serverless architectures Proven experience in NoSQL data modeling Strong commitment to high coding and design/architecture standards and best practices Practical experience delivering in agile environments Fluent in English, both written and spoken Additional plus: Expertise in AWS services, including Lambda, DynamoDB, SNS, SQS, EventBridge, S3, ELB, etc. Experience with containers. Experience with large architectures, serving many clients and users. Experience in dealing with partner companies and collaborating with remote teams. Experience with tracing, monitoring and alerting. Experience with IoT/robotics applications. Proficiency in C++. Tools and frameworks: Python + Pytest, AWS Chalice, Docker, Gitlab, Terraform, REST, WebSocket API, Git, JIRA
